Teachers have participated in many meetings about technology initiatives, the SAMR model, and App-Smashing. Most are eager to incorporate technology in the classroom, but the process can seem overwhelming. There are over 700,000 apps available. How can anyone choose the apps which will meaningfully enhance student learning?

Focusing on teaching and learning, rather than  just “the App”, this workshop will explore ways to select the right tools to enhance the classroom experience. Teachers will be helped to create an individual technology use plan that recognizes teacher tech experience, classroom resources, student needs and pedagogical goals.

Participants should bring their favorite tech tool and be ready to share successes and to actively problem solve during the session.   While the iPad will be used for demonstration, guidelines discussed will be applicable across tech platforms.
