In alignment with the Framework for Science Education, more and more states are adopting science standards which incorporate engineering design concepts either as a stand-alone set of standards or as extensions of existing standards within the sciences. Engineering Design is a powerful, problem solving process which, while not new, has not been taught outside of engineering classes until very recently. This session will focus on the basics of engineering design and the myriad resources available from NASA education to help teachers become comfortable. Group discussion will include, but not be limited to resources available, modifications for the classroom, assessment and extension of engineering concepts.
The session, by virtue of its presentation as a facilitated webinar, will also demonstrate a powerful method of bringing subject matter experts into the classroom through videoconferencing.

In addition to face to face trainings, my contract also offers a variety of free, online webinars.
